The Cabana Celebrates Three Years of Festival of Trees

The Cabana at Jensen Dunes

Assisted Living and Memory Support community on the Treasure Coast serving the Jensen Beach, Stuart and Port St. Lucie areas.

The Cabana at Jensen Dunes first hosted our now-beloved holiday open house tradition – the Festival of Trees – back in 2016. And if you haven’t had the chance to experience this beautiful display of elaborately trimmed trees and animated figurines … now is the time!

Before you visit, we wanted to share the story behind the Festival of Trees.

“When Christmas came around, my mom, Suzanne, meticulously decorated every room in the house – and each one was different,” said Jennifer Lussier-Fontaine, Director of Activities at The Cabana at Jensen Dunes. “At one point, she had 40 trees on display, plus a custom-built, life-sized gingerbread house. She put her heart and soul into it.”

Word soon spread about the displays, and visitors began flocking to the Lussier home each Christmas. “I recall one night where at least 200 people walked through the house,” said Lussier-Fontaine.

When Suzanne passed away in August 2016, Jennifer wanted to continue her mom’s legacy of transforming everyday spaces into a winter wonderland. So, she decided to bring that tradition to The Cabana, for the residents, their families and visitors to enjoy.

The third annual Festival of Trees Open House is Wednesday, December 19, from 4-6 p.m. We hope you will join us in celebrating this special tradition! Call 772-332-1000 to RSVP.
