Solvere Living promotes Nicole Passaro, RN, CDP to Senior Wellness Director at The Cabana at Jensen Dunes in Jensen Beach, Fla.
St. Petersburg, Fla. – June 18, 2021 – Solvere Living, a senior living and active adult management company, has promoted Nicole Passaro, RN, CDP to Senior Wellness Director at The Cabana at Jensen Dunes in Jensen Beach, Fla., a Solvere managed community. In her new role, Nicole will support and mentor the community wellness director by recommending staffing alignments and other initiatives to ensure overall resident wellness and care.
“Nicole is a skilled, knowledgeable and compassionate leader. She has often been a mentor and supports wellness directors at other Solvere communities,” said Lorie Dancy, Solvere Living’s Chief Wellness & Compliance Officer. “She is a joy to work with and her sense of humor helps other team members during the toughest of days. Her love for the work she does is exemplified everyday by her willingness to always take the extra steps needed to support her residents, team members and colleagues.”
Nicole Passaro started her career in the healthcare field working as a radiology technician, however, she knew she wanted to be a nurse. She received her LPN in 2008 from Bullard Haven Technical School in Conn. In 2012, she became a registered nurse and graduated with high honors with an associate’s degree from Gateway Community College in New Haven, Conn. After graduating, she worked at a continuing care retirement community and was promoted to the assisted living wellness manager. After that promotion, Nicole knew she had found her calling. Since that time, she has held wellness or executive director positions at various senior living communities. In 2019, she moved to Florida and soon after came to work as the Wellness Director at The Cabana at Jensen Dunes.
Nicole found her passion in assisted living because she realized she wanted to be a part of residents’ daily lives, their wellbeing, and it gave her a sense of dignity and meaning. She’s most proud of the relationships she has formed with residents and their families. “This last year was especially tough because families and residents were not able to consistently be with their loved ones,” said Passaro. “I addressed these struggles by listening, offering compassion and brainstorming on how we could meet their loved ones’ needs.
