Spring is a special time at The Cabana. The new season brings a feeling of renewal and rejuvenation. And, with the mild temperatures and consistently sunny days, our residents truly enjoy this time of year. Here are a few of their favorite springtime activities:

  • Tending to the Butterfly Garden. We love working in the butterfly garden. It’s a mentally and physically stimulating activity that encourages the use of all motor skills and gives residents a sense of accomplishment. Not to mention that the work they are doing is good for the environment.
  • Water Aerobics Class. We just started our new, Water Aerobics Class, which takes place twice a month. It’s a great, full-body workout, and our residents have a blast! Working out in water helps increase strength and flexibility. It’s also easy on the joints.
  • Hitting the Town. While the friendly ambiance of The Cabana makes it a hard place to want to leave, our residents do enjoy getting out and about. This month, we’re heading to the Road to Victory Military Museum in Stuart. We also have a “Lunch Bunch” group that goes out together every other Wednesday.
  • Partying (of course). We just had a Hawaiian Luau this week, which was a blast! There was delicious food, dancing and no shortage of fun. Next up on the agenda … a Crazy Socks & Crazy Hair Day!
