Answers to 3 Commonly Asked Questions – Fees & Insurance

The Cabana at Jensen Dunes

Making the move to Assisted Living is an important life event that often begins with uncertainty. On a daily basis, we answer dozens of questions from prospective residents and their families. Here are a few of the most common:

  • Is there an entrance fee? No. The Cabana is an all-rental community with a flexible month-to-month arrangement. However, as with almost all Assisted Living communities, there is a one-time community fee.
  • What is included in the cost? The monthly fee includes three prepared meals daily, routine housekeeping services, utilities, and assistance with bathing, dressing and eating. Assistance with any medical, dental, nursing or mental health service is also covered, as well as arranging transportation to and from any needed services. In addition, residents enjoy a variety of planned activities, fitness programs and social functions at no additional cost.
  • Does insurance cover any of the cost? Some long-term care policies cover Assisted Living. If you have a policy designated for home care, it may cover Assisted Living, as well. However, Medicare does not cover any costs for Assisted Living. If you are unsure if you are covered, contact your insurance company to discuss the details of your policy.

Our highly trained, professional staff at The Cabana is available to answer any questions you may have regarding the move to Assisted Living. Please give us a call at 772-332-1000 to schedule your complimentary tour and learn more about what makes our community so special.
